DEATH METAL troche histori

Pierwszy raz nazwa ,,DEATH METAL" została użyta w 1983 roku przez zespól Hellhammer za pomocom zinu o nazwie ,,DEATH METAL". Rok później w świat wyszedł split miedzy zespołami Hellhammer, Running wild, Helloween i Dark avanger, ta płyta ma tyle wspólnego z Death Metalem co jeż i pies. Jedynie Hellhammer ma poziom na płycie i ciężar. Płyta cieszyła się zła sława z powodu z byt krwawej okładki jak na tamte czasy.W 1983 powstał zespól Possessed jest on prekursorem Death metalu za pośrednictwem dema pod nazwom ,,Death metal" szerzej znanej z pierwszej płyty ,,Seven Churches"gdzie utwór o tytule death metal znajduje się na ostatnim miejscu. Zespól grał bardzo szybki thrash daleko mu jeszcze było do prawdziwego death metalu. Plyta jest smiesznie nazywana ,,seven chickens" z powodu nagrywania jej na farmie pośród kurczaków które uciekały w popłochu gdy zespół zaczynał grac.
